Talent

Talk to anyone in the local business community and you’ll find one common struggle: workforce. Finding high-quality, proficient workers is a challenge. The Midland Business Alliance is focusing our efforts in this area to help build an effective pipeline of qualified workers.

Talent Development

We know many organizations are working on a wide variety of talent initiatives, so we’ll start by compiling a database of employment resources. The MBA will also gather data by convening a group of community stakeholders to identify workforce gaps and potential solutions. This clearinghouse, combined with training programs, will enable employers to attract, retain and develop qualified workers.

Talent Attraction

Another part of this strategy is talent attraction. By working with HR managers in our business community and looking at industry studies, we will better understand what prospective employees seek in their work and community.

The MBA’s attraction efforts will not only show that Midland is a desirable place to live and work, but also show the caliber of employers and job opportunities our community has to offer.
